Last year when I got my buck I got in the stand at 4:30 and shot mine at 5:30. Last year I was on first shift this year I'm on second. So this year I'm hunting every Monday morning and every Saturday morning. And I also have chances to go every other Sunday morning and possibly on Thursday evenings where I'm gonna try to hunt 4:30 til dark. I'm ready I have better luck in morning hunts so its gonna be nice to be able to morning hunt more this year!

The buck I just posted on the team site is coming in at 3:30 so I am hesitant to try to get out there late. Otherwise I would leave work at 5 and get a couple of hours in before dark. I'm just not going to chance it with him.

That's crazy... This is only my 2nd year bowhunting but I've only went on 1 morning hunt with my bow. It does more harm than good on my property.

You only have 3 or 4 stands to choose from?! Jeeeez. I feel bad for you. I have about 14 stands to choose from. On top of that I will have at least one blind (possibly two) and 5 or 6 spots prepped for climber

200 acre private tract, 1200 acre public, 40 acre private, and another 600 of public. Hard to choose where to go some times. Nice to have options tho

My kids are running all over tomorrow and I don't think I'll be able to get out tomorrow.

I'll have to speak to the boss to see if I can get out for an evening sit tonight.

Last 2 sits he has shown himself... He would score MAYBE 120, but it would be a dandy of a first buck with my bow.

He has to mess up soon.

Any tendencies with wind, weather, barametric pressure and such that would help tip the scales in your favor and go from him showing to him riding home with you?

Havent checked the pressure... But the first sit was cooler with a WNW wind, came out around 5:30pm. The 2nd sit (yesterday) was warm (75) with an ESE wind, came out around 6:30pm. I know that he loves the beans... He just hasn't followed the field edge to my corner stand yet.

Gotta be a reason behind that, figure that out and you have him...otherwise keep doing what you're doing and he may slip up :) Either way good luck...go get him on the ground!

I picked up a grunt call cause I had a gift cert to spend...I went out back, for giggles, tried a couple of grunts and went back inside. A few minute later went back out to toss some trash in the bin...sure enough here comes a deer.... Get me to my stand so I can try my new toy out.!
