headed out to the farm on Sunday to trim out my stands and move a couple of blinds around now that I've got a good idea of where my shooters are moving from corn to beans in the evenings. been shooting a lot lately and the Bear is driving tacks so no excuses here if I miss. does anybody else still have things to do to get ready?

Most of my hunting is on public land in eastern oklahoma so I don't tend to hang anything permanent for fear of it growing legs. I do everything from the ground, a summit viper, and I just ordered an xop and waiting on their new sticks for a more mobile stand for those spots that don't have good climber trees. I'll end up doing a bit of scouting labor day weekend, looking for acorns, and probably finding way more than I want to this year. Otherwise I'm just shooting my bow and planting foodplots, but I get paid to do that so it doesn't really count

I still need to dial in my bow a bit more and purchase some odds and ends. Also need to wash my clothes.

Other than that, I'm pretty good to go!

I went to one of the Wma's near my house yesterday. There are acorns EVERYWHERE. I don't like it. I'm use to them being on just a few ridges. I've got a feeder filled up in my yard:). We have a decent buck and several doe coming in every evening. Hopefully they keep that up.

Yea with all this rain we have had it really seems like the acorn crop us going to be very heavy. Could make hunting early a bit less predictable since they won't have to travel much.
Awesome on the new property! Hope it pans out!

Well checked one of my cams yesterday and had 1700 pics in 4 days! I checked it a little early so I could get some more corn out there. Didn't see 2 of the big boys I'm after but I did end up getting a bunch of pictures of 2 other shooter that I'll post tomorrow once I get off work! This season is by far the best year I've had at getting pictures of shooters! Hoping I can lay us some bone down this year and help us come away with the season victory!!!
