September 5th? You lucky dog! Iv got 39 more days to wait...
Congrats on the upcoming birth bear!
As far as mechs, I can't help you. Iv been playing around with the various slick trick designs. Just nervous about mechs and enjoy the simplicity of fixed.

I've shot rage for a few years now. I have yet to have one fail to open. Most of the deer I've shot have gone less than 50 yds. With that said, I also hit one in the shoulder and I only got a couple inches of penetration. It's all in shot placement if you ask me. the hypodermic seem to leave a great blood trail I do know that.

I may break down and try the rage or kill zone this year, but first I want to see what kind of hole the grizztrick does. 1 1/4" 4 blade, I'm thinking could be pretty good. If I'm unhappy with it, I will most likely try them. A 2" cut really does sound nice

I tried kill zones and didn't have any luck with them! 2 outa 3 of them didn't open so I went back to the good old Swhacker broadheads and they haven't ever disappointed me yet!!

Stories like that are what keep me scared of mechs. If it can go wrong it will. They are sure tempting though

I love my killzones. Everything I've shot with them has ran less than 30 yards. I shot a mule deer at 61 yards with them and where the deer was standing looked like a murder scene. This is the pic of the yucka plant that was behind the deer when the arrow hit.

Alright, everyone. I'm already slacking. I'll be captain if everyone is fine with it.

Are we all okay with the name? Whitetails and blood trails?

I'm good with the name and Matt for captain. Looks like we have a good team here and as good a chance as any of the teams.

Well guy's the whitetail itch is getting pretty bad!!! Only 20 more days tell the Kansas archery opener and it can't get here soon enough!!! I've got buck fever already and haven't even sat in a stand yet with what my trail cameras are showing me! Looks like velvet should be coming off in the next couple weeks! I have a few bucks that are starting to loosen the velvet already so it shouldn't be very long tell its falling off! Looking forward to seeing this sweet avatar Matt is getting put together!

Here are a few of the bucks I will be chasing this season. No 170's here, I just don't have deer that big on my farm but maybe a couple of 140's and 150's.

Beautiful deer! Good luck with him!
I haven't gotten a picture of a shooter yet. I know they are around, iv seen them, but the huge amount of rain we have had seems to have ruined my mineral sites. It also kept me from getting my cameras out very early
