I then ground blind this morning! Hoping my luck will finally change around! Checked a cam on my way in right quick and I had one new buck on it!!! To bad I start my week to work tonight but in thinking my next week off is going to be good anyway since my cams are just now starting to show the bucks moving to different areas!!!

Well sitting in the blind with nothing moving yet...pretty damn windy blowing about 19 mph steady with gusts around 30 mph !!! Here's the new bucks that are moving around!!!

Well skunked again and I'm back to work for my week on...hoping this week off from hunting will clear my mind from all the negativity from getting skunked so many times already this year!!! I'm thinking deer hunting will be better next week anyway with it cooling off and staying cool!!!

Weather is looking good for the weekend with a cold front moving in Friday night here in Ohio. I think this will be the peak week for the rut. Things have been slow but are starting to show signs of the rut picking up.
I'll be out Saturday morning and another sit on Sunday, either morning or evening.

Well that was fun. I just had a stand off 10 feet away with a small buck in the dark headed to my stand. So I'm walking down the RR Tracks to get to my stand and I could here a deer walking in the woods to my left. I stopped and it was getting closer so I just stood there motionless. The deer walked all the way to the edge of the woods and stood there about 10 feet away staring at me. There is a small incline there so he is Also above me about 3-4 feet. Because he was siloetted I could see a small rack. I started thinking...what if this rut crazed buck decided to charge me lol. So I reached up slowly and turned on my head lamp. He still didn't move. He started stomping over and over. He slowly turned around and continued to stomp as he walked away. I never heard him blow. My stand was only 80 yards from this spot. Crazy morning already

Been so long up until this morning for me seeing some deer that I almost forgot what they looked like!!! Just had 5 does about 200 yards out on the opposite tree walking down it but turned back into it to get out of this wind!!! Surprised I didn't see a buck with that group at all!!!

Well not hunting related but I find out today what the sex of my second kid will be today!!! Slept like I did the night before opening day...not at all lol!!!
