Just getting off work changing and heading out to the tree stand! One more night of work left this week and then I'll finally be able to get some evening hunting in!!!

Good luck! I'll be out tomorrow most likely. Then depending on when the front moves through, I'll sit Thursday or Friday.

 

Sat yesterday evening and got skunked for the first time this season. Before I got in the stand I was checking cams on a different piece of the property when I hear dirt bikes coming. It was four of them, they drove within 30 yards of me before they saw my truck and turned around and hauled ***! What can you do? They had no license plate and all had on helmets.

 

Slow morning only seen a decent 8 about 200 yards out and a yote but didn't get a shot. On a plus note checked one of my cams and I have a new deer coming around!!!

Bonus buck!! Gotta love the rut! That deer is a stud. Hope you get a chance at him.

 

Last week of work for me then 3 off, I'll be spending ALOT of time tree hopping

 

I'm off at 5am then my week off starts so I'll be spending as much time as possible in the woods!!! Hoping I can get us some points this week!!

Well guys, I am done buck hunting in oklahoma. Walked in the woods for the first time this year with the ol smokepole, found a good spot and just scratched out a spot at the base of a tree. Settled in for the evening and 10 minutes later I glance to my left (my off side, I shoot lefty) and there's a buck at about 12 steps. He was directly cross wind, and he stopped, just looking around for probably 2 minutes. He finally took a step and turned to look away from me, giving me the opportunity to spin and shoulder my old .54 Lyman trade rifle. Even with me trying to muffle the hammer, he heard the click and whipped around to look at me, but it was to little to late.
20 minutes later and 80 yards down an incredible blood trail there he was! A nice 10 point

Thanks guys! It's been an amazing year. It's been my hardest year ever as far as deer sightings in general, iv busted my butt and seen very very few, but it's also been my best year ever for mature buck sightings, and with 2 mature bucks down in october, it's my best year ever!

Didn't have a bit of luck the other night really surprised since my cams are showing most of my movement is in the evenings!!! Either way I'm back at in tonight and morning and evenings the rest of this week tell Tuesday!!! Something will die by then or at least I'm hoping!!!

Well all I seen tonight was a possum and a squirrel tonight but my cameras are showing my deer moving right before first light and right after dark!!! This needs to change in a hurry!!!

Well guys, my dad and I filled our muzzleloader doe tags this morning. Just still hunting through the woods. First time I can remember that we both filled tags on the same hunt. I'm down to 2 doe tags. Will do a little more bowhunting, but now the focus is on getting my girlfriend her first deer this rifle season
