I still can't believe you didn't find that deer. Did you ever end up getting in touch with anyone with a dog other than that guy on the first day?

Never could find a dog. I had 3 other people help search. We walked every inch we could. I know that deer is dead close. I keep looking for buzzards to help me find him. I don't know what happened, all I can think is that because he still had half an arrow in him, that is what cause him to not bleed very much. We had good blood. Drop drop drop every couple of inches and then nothing.

That would be my guess is that the arrow plugged the exit hole! From the looks of that arrow I'm just sure that's a dead deer for sure!!!

Watching the weather, and this weekend is looking great. Starting tomorrow with a nice drop in temps, I'll be out in the evening. Plan to sit Friday evening and most of Saturday.

    Good luck anthony!
I'm working a controlled hunt this morning, probably the best morning so far this season, but unable to hunt. Will most likely pick up the ol side hammer for a couple days this week, but will not be bowhunting much until the first weekend of november.
It's been hot and windy here recently, with more acorns than iv ever seen. It's a tough year here

Well I sat yesterday and saw one small 8 point that came in right at last light and was stuck in the tree for 30 min after dark.
    I'll be out again tomorrow.

How'd the morning hunt go? I'm headed out this afternoon, should be a good day, a front moved through last night. Temps have dropped about 10 degrees and we have rising pressure all day.
