Season starts Saturday for me. The plan is to go in Thursday mid day and check the cameras after a 24 day soak and then make a decision where to hunt Saturday based off of the card pulls and wind. I need some sort of a North wind to hunt my best spot to kill one of my hit list deer. If that doesn't happen then I'll hunt another stand and shoot a doe if no bucks show. I'm ready to fling an arrow!!! The gear is scent free and all boxed up, the bow is dialed in and I'm just waiting on the opener, If I can hunt my favorite stand soon I feel good about my chances for a shooter. I have 5 or so big deer that I have running around during shooting hours.

What do you guys think these two deer are age wise...I don't think either will get a pass beens I haven't shot a good deer yet but they both look fairly young to me...[IMG]

To be honest, I don't put much faith in aging on the hoof so no help there. With that said though, they are both very nice mature deer and if you pass them your a much better man than i! Those are some thumpers! That top buck is a stud and I love the character of the bottom. I would be ecstatic to take either of them

Matt do you ever find the stabilizer length to be an issue? I just purchased a 10" bee stinger to try, but worry about it being a nuisance

I shoot a 10 inch stabilizer and I like it a lot. I've never had any issues with it getting in the way because it's longer.

I'll be in a stand in about 18hrs! I'm ready to get the 2015 season kicked off. Hopefully I'll have good video to show you guys. Good luck to anyone else if their season starts tomorrow.

Nope, it's never been an issue. I find I need the extra length to balance out the Sentinel as it's weight is a bit toward the back for me at full draw.

Well I saw zero on opening day and I had a button buck and small doe at 5 yards this evening. I gave the doe a pass because she was too little.

Glad you are finally able to get out. Yeah I kinda figured the same with my doe. Having a newborn I haven't had much sleep and figured it would have to be a big doe for it to be worth it.
