Pretty exicted about the snow coming in. I love driving in it! Just not sure where to hunt! Ah the epic cat and mouse game.

Its started to sleet and freezing rain about 3 hours ago. Looks like were gonna get it pretty good up here. I plan on trying to go Saturday if I can brave the cold. We'll see.

It's getting close to snowing here but haven't gotten a flake as of yet. It's getting colder and it was already a cold SOB all day. I hate winter.....

Hopefully we don't get very much...if any at all.

Well, I just recieved word this evening that we are a "GO" on the reproduction of OMG. There is a semi-local guy that does repros here in KS and should have it done by March.

This is NOT a cheap process, Holy crap!

    LOL covey.

I got in there last night in hurricane winds LOL as you can imagine it didn't go well. I did shoot a rabbit though that was cool. Skinned him and cooked him last night. I kept the skin though because I shot a nice fox last year. I wanted the taxi to make it look like it was standing over a animal it may have been eating. But I needed to wait for winter coats as the Fox I shot had a winter coat. Cant have a piece with one animal in winter coat and other not.

    That's pretty cool Drago.

The amount of snow may really put a damper on my plans. I was wanting to hit the public property now that the pressure has been off for a week, but I think that county, and maybe my own, will be under a snow emergency come later this evening.

That means i may just have to hunt at the house. Not bad but not the best...

I'm going to bust a gut laughing if you kill that big 11 due to "circumstances beyond your control", lol. Forced to hunt the crappy spot at your house because of snow, lol.

Its friggin cold boys! Lots of tracks around the feeder so I'm huddled up in the ground blind waiting to see what happens.

Got the buddy heater just in case.

I'm really getting the itch to finish the season with another kill. I only got 25 days left. With a solid week or so unhuntable with the holidays and being busy. I got a solid maybe two weeks left. We have had some stupid weather though. Today was back to below freezing but we had like 3 days that were well over freezing and all our snow has melted. I want to see a foot of snow on the ground, then it's easy to bait the deer in. That's the best part of late season deer.

So how cold was it? I'm trying to decide if I am crazy enough to go in the morning. It's suppose to be 5 degrees (Fahrenheit, Chago) at daybreak.

Man, we're going to be a lot warmer than that here in the morning. We're only supposed to get down to 7F, lol.

Deer are still chasing here on the cameras, got a couple decent 8s again this time here at the house but have yet to see that nice 10 I posted the other day...guess he was just passin through.

It got cold the last 30 minutes. It was around 20 but I was out of the wind. Saw some fresh tracks on my way out but nothing came to the feeder. I was thinking about going in the morning too. But I doubt I get up. I might go out a little after sunup. Good luck and be careful if you go.

No way I'm going in the morning....
I'm going to try to get around and tend to the feeders and pull camera cards tomorrow though I think. I'm leaving my cams out until after the last rifle shot to get a survey on what survived both MO and KS seasons. MO muzzle loader season is still a ways off. I can't believe they pushed it back so late this year....
