His brow tines split off and form another point. So he was a 9, but with the split brows they should be big enough for an extra point on each.

He is being dang elusive! He's has always been one step ahead all season. I have yet to see him in shooting light but he has been extremely close.
Tonight I'm going to put up another cam. I have a feeling I know where I can get him, it just may take me 2 days to get him out lol.

Nice Buck! How do you like the wildgame cameras? I had three and they didn't last a year! I also got a lot of white pictures.

I had one. It didnt end nicely. Hammer... Garbage.

Always had white pictures at night. I would look at deer in broad daylight right in front of camera. Then would later check the cam and no pics. So the camera would make a liar when I would tell people what I saw on the plot. I could YMCA in front of this thing and it wouldn't take a pic. But I had every raccoon in Canada on camera though.

Trail cams under $100 in general are unreliable and a crapshoot. I have had a bushnell, moultrie and 2 wildgames. The bushnells are by far my favorite, and if they break, you get a newer / better one.
The wildgames have been good to me. I've put them through hell. They stay out in the woods all year. The batteries will freeze and it will stop taking pictures until they warm up and start working again. My girlfriend's driveway dinger kept going off at 2-4 am so I put one of my wildgame cams on it. Sure enough it was deer coming through lol. However, it rained like crazy. Well I didn't think about it and the cam sat almost fully submerged in water for almost a week. It works perfect still to this day.
Occassionally I'll get a run of white pictures. My neighbor claims you get his when the batteries are low, but I have never remembered to test this theory, but he's pretty dang smart.
The key to the wildgame is to get the ones that take AA batteries. The C battery cams are pretty crappy and break often.
Whatever you do, absolutely do not buy a stealth cam. My brother got one and it's the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen.

In most cases, if you write them they are pretty good at helping you out.

Walmart has a moultrie or bushnell for $100. That's the ticket.

I've owned a cudde a moultrie a wildgame 2 Bushnell and a Wildview. The cheapest was the wildview 1.3mp at 59.00. I bought it 8 years ago and It still works but I haven't used it this season because it takes crappy night pics. No range on the flash. The wildgame broke after 1 year and I sent it back and got a replacement. It works fine and I've used it this season with some success. The scudded took great pics and has great range at night butit messed up a couple of years after I bought it. No replacement but they will allow you a credit toward a newer model. The Bushnell trophy cam is awesome. Great pics. Great night range on the IR. Long battery life (I just replaced the batteries that I installed back in August. The Bushnell from Walmart was $100 and is not the quality of the trophy cam but it takes pretty good pics and has decent battery life 4AA (not as long as the trophy trophy cam with 8AA) but its worth the money.

    I'm a fan of bushnell.
I got the cheapest cam they had at walmart years ago for christmas. After a year it started to mess up. I was rough on it. LIke I said, the batteries would freeze and the cam stop working. Once it warmed up it would start again lol.
Well I can't remember why it was messing up but I emailed bushnell and they told me to send it in. 2 weeks later I had lower end trophy cam. It was messed up from day 1. I emailed them again and they said they had a problem on a lot and to send it in. This time I got the top trophy cam they had. Yeah it sucked sending it in twice but they really hooked me up each time.
I also have 2 of their scopes and a pair of their binos. All have been bulletproof and I really like knowing they back their products and take care of their customers.

Thinking seriously about getting a covert cam and then getting another SIM card as a pay as you go through AT&T for the remote access. Its 1 hour round trip to my property from the house and I can't always go out to check. Plus I'd like to get em instantly so I could plan my hunts according to when I start to see those bucks out during daylight. As it is now it may be many days between checking the came. Seems worth the extra $40 dollars to run the cam during season. Probably save that much gas running back and forth.

I have cams in my backyard. I would even want it for that. Just to never have to go in and disturb the deer.

I always use the cards that are the full size SD with the little mini SD in it. That way I can grab the card on my way to the stand or after, pop the back of my phone off and download the pics to my phone. I don't have to bring a camera or anything have to go out and change them out.

A guy I used to work with has one of the cams that send you the pics. Well he got a few pics sent to him, checked them a bit later, and it was a kid with a screwdriver going to town on his cam. The kid got in quite a bit of trouble needless to say.

I'll be hunting this weekend... Mainly to monitor my property for pumpkin trespassers as gun season starts Saturday.

Good luck, Chago! And everyone else that's hunting!

I'm going to bass pro tonight if that counts?

I won't make it home in time to get in the tree before dark.

After I get off work Friday I'll start on vacation #2. I'll be hitting it very hard. My cousin was hunting down the road from my place and he said they are chasing harder today than he has seen yet.

Nice. Ya most of Ontarios gun seasons are over. On my home property there is one more muzzle loader season in December for 5 days. No one really hunts near me though. And my hotspot property there is no gun season here ever. Just 3 months uninterrupted bow hunting.

You bored? No beans to cut?

Might as well add 2013 contest champs to it!

Ha...did you see the animation? That deer was actually supposed to be animated running...it looks neat and i was going to use it as my Sig but the forum says no animated gifs, lol.It wouldn't work so I deleted the post.
I cut beans through like 11 pm last evening before rain today and ran around today tieing up loose ends and moving equipment in case the rain doesn't amount to anything. I still have about 140 acres of beans to cut...finished up the last of the first crop beans last evening.

Yea hit just wouldn't work for some reason....guess it's beyond my expertise...

Yeah I'm getting extremely itchy to be in a deer stand, haven't been in what seems like an eternity after hitting it hard early. To make matters worse I saw one of my KS hitlist bucks about to cross the highway in pursuit of a doe just before dark.... MFDC0533.jpg MFDC0537.JPG MFDC0547.jpg
