Nice buck cunninghamww I hope you find him! Can you use dogs? I'm sure he's dead by now.
I've been trying to keep up at work with taptalk but I can't figure out how to post. I've never had a problem in the past but I just got a new I phone and still trying to figure it out.

I think you can use dogs if you contact the game warden and it's approved for tracking purposes and the dog has to remain leashed. I read that somewhere but it may have been MO regs. The only way I'd honor any of that is on public land, on my own land I'd use a dog in a heartbeat to track a wounded deer.

    Anyway good luck this morning.

Good luck with the track job. Hopefully you marked last blood last night and can start there. With all the bright red blood you had pix of he's gotta be down & dead...

I agree with the dogs. Your walking with your dog is all. Your not carrying a weapon.

Dumbest law I've ever heard of that your not allowed to use a tracking dog. So it's better to just not find it and let it waste? I tried it with my doe. Didnt work out though.

Cunningham! Thanks for giving us an update. That buck is a stud and I really hope you can report some great news later. From the looks of it, he should be dead.

Hang in there and stay positive!!!

So the buck powered up a hill (not a good sign) and I lost blood. Did a 50 yd circle and picked it up again where he stood when he reached the top of the hill. [IMG]
But that was it. If he's still bleeding I couldn't find it. Made expanding circles for 2 hrs and have to go into work. My pops is driving 4 hrs just to come help me again this afternoon. We will be body searching 40 acres of the thickest, nastiest bedding area I have ever seen.

And if anyone knows a good dog in NE Kansas, I wouldn't mind taking it on a walk!

I'm pretty sure he posted it but it was originally missing the time of kill. the time was added after the last cutoff for tallying on 11.3.13

You know what, I would take any dog for a walk. Take it to the last blood and see what happens. It's worth a try. They say one of the best is the little dachshunds. LOL because they can get into anything.
Good luck! I wish I where closer to help.

Shot at a good one a few minutes ago. Couldn't tell about the shot. He was following does about 35 yards out but he got downwind of me and go nervous. I stopped him and took the shot but I'm sure he ducked the arrow. In stand as I type this. Getting down in a few to check.
