If you go and read other teams posts you will see a number of other teams go in and have some fun giving each other a little crap. This contest is to have some fun and that is it plus bragging rights for the next year. I wont post anymore here I would hate to make you two cry some more. Good luck and try and have some fun.

    Thanks.
Yeah we know it's for fun and thanks for offering to help bh1988, I'm sure he will see the post.

We all know it's for fun but there's no call for anyone to go around stirring the pot over every stupid little situation....or acting like a three year old over something so benign...Seriously, I have nieces and nephews in grade school that act more mature than what was done here.

Nice! Man...no underbrush there to speak of, the buckbrush here is so thick you can hardly wade through it.

    Hey guys,

Before this thing gets out of hand, let me say that I don't think anyone is accusing you of cheating or trying to cheat just that it looks like there may be a problem with the score.

The deer my team member posted is not a road kill or EHD or anything else but a bow kill that could not be found. Our team text back and forth for two days trying to give him some help finding the deer. It started raining about 15 minutes after he shot and he never found one drop of blood or and arrow or any sign but he still went and looked for hours trying to recover this animal. This is his first buck ever with a bow.

He PM'ed Fitz after he found the deer and asked what to do and Fitz said to post it because as the rules state you have to post the first buck killed. He also said that the same thing happened to someone last year. So I ask you please to stop with the hateful comments and accusations of cheating As this is his first with a bow and I'm sure he feels bad enough already. Do you really think if he wanted to cheat he would post a 91" buck?

Best of luck to all of you for a safe and successful hunt!!

    Agreed!^^

I realize I posted a question about the score of the one buck entered, I also wanted to stress like I stated in the post, I don't feel it's off by much but some of those measurements seem off...if the G2's are 7 than those brows aren't (as I've seen you guys know too the circumferences are wrong and getting checked. A lot can be lost in pictures/angles though as I stated, it could simply be the pictures are not doing it justice....heck of a buck for sure!! You guys are setting up to be towards the top.....too bad we're gonna swoop in and take it all :)

Obviously there is a problem wit ha score tha tdoesn't have all the data....(H4).

As far as your team members deer goes....I'll never buy that it was the deer he supposedly shot back on 10/19/13. It's too decomposed and is was still in velvet.

What I believe is here nor there...it goes against the spirit of the competion at least to post a deer that's been dead so long that there is no reasonable proof of a cause of death, let alone a humane kill and clean recovery. It may be a sad story and, if true, I'm sure he feels bad but I don't see how it's fair to allow it as an entry. Hey 90 points is 90 points and is a surer bet than a doe or a buck walking around in the brush.

What if we all started scanning the roads for roadkill that looks fresh and started posting pics as entries? Or all started posting and claiming pics of old EHD finds.....how absurd.

You made me think Covey...if you're gonna cheat don't make it ridiculous....I won't say I disagree that deer looked dead for a long long time.

I've been thinking about this deal....
I think what would be fair is to award the guy 50 pts and remove eligability for a doe entry from here forward.

At this point Covey it's been approved by Fitz...good enough for me. If it would come down to them winning by anything less than 90 inches and caused an uproar at most perhaps a captain's poll would be taken, but Fitz is in charge and if he's okay with it than I'll live with it. I 100% feel the guy thinks that deer is the one he arrowed the 19th (whether it is or isn't)...no one can disprove it 100% so I say if Fitz said go, we go. :)

Agreed. I say we should concentrate on our own discrepancies with buckhunter's score and move on.

Good thing is about measurements is they're concrete and while very miniscule differences can occur between scorers, the scores will be consistent. I think it was just a mistake by the scorer resulting from either oversight or just lack of experience (maybe boos for a third option haha!). Like I have said though, thing is a great buck (I'd shoot in a heartbeat) but grossly overstated but that will soon be corrected and all will be right with the world. :D

Well I can still disagree with it being approved but a person is stupid to try to argue with the judge....

I think buckhunter1988 likes to do a lot ot his contacts through his phone and I believe he was getting messages on both his and his buddies deer at the same time so there either could have been some confusion or a problm with the numbers in text format on a phone or about anything. We'll know something pretty soon, I never thought it was a 150" deer either when I guessed the score.

I don't care what it scores as long as it counts. As far as I'm concerned 130+" deer is as good as 150" deer on our team score, 20"+ or - isn't going to bother me any.
