I used to love duck hunting! All the spots I used to hunt are closed to hunting now, it really sucks! I had spots where I would go through two boxes of shells in one night. Of course I was a ****ty shot though! LOL. On the other hand I have killed four ducks with one shot! Four came in and four went down.

I'm starting to see deer everywhere here. I got off my dozer this evening and went around through the crops and there were over a dozen deer in one milo field. This is the same field I saw the big wide 10 in the other day. Started home and drove past one of my other fields and there were eight or so deer in there and at least three were bucks that could have easily went over 140+. It was too dark to see for sure what they had but I could see the frames and they were monster bodied deer.

I'm dieing because I haven't seen a darn thing. I don't know if you remember my map of my hunting property. But I set up a stand behind my plot overlooking this hole inside the tree line. Well I have a camera down there which hadn't shown anything yet which is odd as deer were here by this time last year. Mind you last year was worst drought in many years and this year was just opposite. But I went down there to check cards and it showed no pics. But just 10 yards away I found what looks like beds. Multiple, which tells me does. Which is. Good sign because they bring the bucks back in.

I went to a local apple farm today and bought 1000lbs of cull apples. So lets hope that bring some deer in.

Got a little rain last night, went around to check beans this morning and saw a possible Booner cross the corner of the bean field. Only saw him for maybe 4-5 seconds but he is a massive mother!!!! Takes a big SOB to get me excited and that one did the trick...big time! I think he is at least 10 and probably 12 but he is wide and really heavy. He's not the same one that was in the milo the other day either, that one was light on mass...this guy is a certifiable brute. He's so heavy I'm surprised he doesn't walk around with his butt off the ground, lol...holy cow he's awesome!!!!!!!!!

Covey keep your eyes on that beast. That could be a good number of points.

I'm chasing the ducks this weekend. Oct 1 babak come on!!!! Bears are supposed to take the itch away until October 1. It lasted only a week lol

Good luck to all you guys hitting the woods this weekend.

We finally have gotten a good amount of rain the past couple days. Hopefully my plot takes off. It took longer getting it in due to the lack of rain so hopefully it isn't too late.

I haven't checked the cams in a couple weeks. I'm trying to lower my expectations this year so I don't put too much pressure on myself.

I got 8 of my remaining 10 cameras set out today over custom mineral/salt stations and feeders. I found the first two scrapes of the year and set one camera up directly over them! I'm going to buy about five more ladder stands and set one up in the same area. I suspect this is where I'll hammer that monster I saw this morning.

There's about ten acres worth of young white oaks and sawtooth oaks about two hundred yards southeast of these two scrapes and it's all about 1/4 mile south of the bean field where I saw the monster this morning.

Two more cameras to set up tomorrow on the 352 acre property three miles west from there. Once I get the last two out I'll be running 14 trail cams!

Almost closed the deal yesterday morn. Saw 8 total but the only one that was for sure in range was a good 8.

    None last night.

    Back at it now!

Wooohooo!!!!!!!! Nice! Shooting doubles now are we?! One question....did it take two shots or one shot with stacked deer or....two arrows on the string at once, lol.

Okay another question...did you take a second pic and turn these in for team score?

Awesome job, congrats!!!!!!! *pat on the back*!

    That's awesome Jared!!!
Did you get a second pic!?

I just came in from checking the cards. We had the usual bucks but there was a nice surprise in the background. It was what appeared to be a really nice buck. He was well too far out though.

Well it's a nice day, time to go shoot!!
