So hows it been goin Wisconsin guys and anyone else who's season may have started? Haven't heard anything lately from anyone. Are you able to hunt during the week Ryan or weekends only? I know Brett's trying his hardest to get some points for us in NC
Unfortunately I can only hunt Friday night, then the rest of the weekend. This week I may get lucky and get out Thursday night, which would be very nice! I'm more excited to check my cameras tho. The last two times I checked one I had a pic of what I guarantee is a big buck but I can't ever get his head, he always hides it behind trees! Only one I can see part of his main beam. I've moved it twice now and still can't get him. This week I think will be a different story. If I get him, I'll be setting up on him ASAP
Good to hear, and also, I don't know if you checked the kill submit thread but Justin said your pics don't work because they have the same photo ID. I'd just host them on photobucket and post them again directly on the forums.
Hey guys my opening weekend was pretty slow, the weather was horribly hot which i think was a major part. i was trying for a doe and just couldnt get the job done but it will happen soon enough. and RZB idk what justins talking bout with those pics, i get 2 diff pictures when i click them but w/e. anyone else hunting yet?
Now we are officially on the board. Justin got it sorted out for me. 50 points! Now we gotta get more
Well I tried guys, the weather just did not cooperate. I had a shot opportunity but I felt shaky on the shot, so I chose not to shoot. I am VERY grateful to Jeff for inviting me. My county has a special archery season that is actively open, so I will be trying to kill a doe a few times here in the next 3 weeks, prior to our statewide season kick off in October.
Well good news gentlemen! I have off for the next couple days giving me 7 hunts for me to get out. plus I finally got my buck on camera, but the darn picture is blurry (caught him moving) but I know he's a dandy, so tomorrow I'm going in and setting up. I might today but I'm afraid it is too late in the day to do so. We'll see maybe I can get er done!
Yup, shrek is on the board now too! I am hoping that I will be able to get a doe or nice sized buck on the ground opening weekend because the next two weekends I will be stuck at school and unable to hunt. Remember Shrek that you need two diff pics of it with your bow present to avoid conflicts with scoring. Great job!
We have a long season guys. No stress if you don't have a buck down this month. I am hoping to have a doe down within the next month.
Ohh I'm not putting pressure on myself, I'd just personally like to have a deer on the ground opening weekend if possible since I won't be able to hunt the following two weekends. I'd been planning on coming home from school every weekend in October to hunt but a bunch of friends are coming to visit on our Homecoming weekend and then there's a big party called Smokin Hog the weekend following that I'd like to stay for. I've got a good feeling that we're all gonna be pretty successful this season.
