Hey Fellas, saw the first shooter of the year when glassing my local farms bean fields last night. He was a solid 10 point not extra but a tall rack. He was coming out of velvet already, bloody and velvet hanging. Not a monster but a solid 130-ish.

I moved a field over and saw a young basket 8 pointer.

This farm is so great, but it's so hard to hunt, thick and swampy with no easy access...basically perfect for bucks to grow big in!

Good to hear gr8, hopefully you'll still be able to find him come archery season. I unfortunately haven't had a whole lot of time to do scouting now that I'm back in school. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to see something to report on.

Guys I will never get any pics of bucks b/c we can't have trailcams where I hunt. Also, patterning an early season buck is terribly tough due to no crop fields. I have only patterned and then killed a buck once in the last 10 years where I hunt, and he was a small 7 point.

I have to just HUNT and work hard to find em once the season begins. That and going off sign I find after the last season ended.

    Good luck guys.

Hey guys, I finally got my computer up and running. Had to put a new mother board in it.What a nightmare, but I'm good to go now. My bow season doesn't open until October 17 here so I hope to see some big ones get killed before I even get to go in the woods! How do I get one of them cool looking avatars anyhow?

Go to page 5 and your avatar is the very last shown. Just save it to your desktop and go to your user preferences, browse for it, and upload.

    here's a thought...
I've done this on a few other contests and the team members exchange numbers, in case of computer crash or just for the heck of it, like letting the other members know they laid the smack down on one. Anyone interested? we can send a PM around to each other or whatever you wanna do. Just an idea.

I like it. I think it would be cool and motivational to hear if you guys shot one or had some good action.

I'd be interested in exchanging numbers. I can't receive picture messages, but I still think it'd be cool if we could let each other know when we've had a successful hunt.

I think it'd be easiest just to post our numbers on this thread, but for privacy matters I'll let someone else decide how we do it.

I just sent out a PM to you all with my contact information, please let me know if you got it so that I know if I did it correctly or not. I've never sent a message to multiple people before.

Brandon...get all the numbers together and send out one group PM with the complete list.

Thanks...I have unlimited texting which I do not take seriously. I seriously send out only about 30 texts a month. I would love to hear what you guys are doing, even if you just see a nice buck or had some great action.

I have unlimited texting as well so feel free to update me whenever. Once I get a PM from everyone with their numbers I'll send out a PM to all of you just to make sure you have all the numbers as well.
