I haven't been out for a little over a week. I definitely plan on tryin to get out as much as possible though these next couple of weeks before seasons end though. The temperatures dropped like crazy with the coming of the new year, and it's currently 5* with a wind chill of -7*. Hopefully it heats up a bit, because that makes for some miserable hunting.

Brandon, you've had an awesome season! There's no point in hunting during that miserable weather. I say hang it up for the season and prepare for next year!!!!!

If anyone knocks down a 60"+ buck to win this contest, I will purchase/mail them the hunting video of their choice!

I was getting the same attention before I zipped my doe. ;)

It was a good time and a real pleasure getting to know you all. I'd take this same group of guys any day In a contest or In a deer hunting camp/trip.

Best of luck Brandon If you make It back out.

    Thanks all!!

I've been out a couple times this past week and have seen some deer, but nothing in range. I saw a couple of smaller bucks and the rest were all does and yearlings.

I agree Steve. I had a lot of fun in this contest with everyone on this team. Great group of guys. We are so close! Someone KILL a 60 inch buck!

I'll be going out tomorrow morning and hopefully tomorrow night if I get back home early enough to make it out. I'll be shooting the first decent sized doe that walks by, but hopefully a buck will make his way by also. I'd love to shoot a buck that would get us the 60", but I can't bring myself to lower my standards to win the contest knowing the potential that a lot of the bucks in our area have. I've got up until Friday to try and get something done, but I'll have to wear the orange during our late antlerless season. Hopefully too many bucks don't get shot that may have shed their antlers already.

Yeah it's been fun guys...we gave 'em a run and I bet their panties were wadded up for a while!

I guess my teams will finish second in both contests...here and HNI by less than 120" or so total.
