Try a treelimb quiver. They seem to hold on to arrows better than any other I have seen

Did not get to hunt this weekend. I did check cameras the good news is that deer are still coming in at the same time. The bad news is it's now dark.

This guy decided to show back up after 2 months absence. "Ribcage" is back and gained a spot on the hitlist.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been to active I just don't have much to report as of right now. Cameras are showing tons and tons of 2.5-3.5 100" deer but nothing more and work schedule has been insane. I will be in a tree Thursday and Friday for sure no doubts though. My brother back home put down a big doe tonight and hearing him over the phone just got me more determined to get out there.

Nothing to exciting. She was feeding in the alfalfa and trotted right under my tree. When she got about 12 yards away she turned and quartered away. Made a good but not great shot. She ran about a 75 yards and bedded down. We left her over night and she was laying there in the morning. She's already cut up and in the freezer. :o

Things ought to get exciting now as this cold front comes through with overcast and mist. I saw deer in my back yard in a slight rain so I imagine things will pick up. I'm a weekend warrior up until late October/early November when I start using vacation days to hunt, what do the rest of you do?

Same here, weekend hunting until end of October to mid November.
Loving the cold front coming through. I usually won't hunt too hard until I have a good chance at killing a buck but I'll be out this weekend hunting for 50 pts for sure! Can't hunt my biggest buck until I get south winds. S-SE being the best.

I figured most did the same. I am hoping for a doe as well. The only thing that might bring in a buck I'm after is the mock scrape that I have going. Otherwise, I don't expect to see any of the bigger bucks until the pre-rut starts up.

I'll hunt on the weeknights just to get out and relax a lot. My dad had an encounter with the big eight that I shared preciously. Things are starting to get exciting!
