Okay Jimmy the Greek “wanabees”. Let’s see how good your prognostication skills are. I’ll start. Colts up 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter as the Saints inexperience in the big game shows. Then the Saints settle down get the offense running to provide a halftime score of 21-10 Colts. Manning comes on strong in the 3rd and picks the Saints defense apart playing ball control. Saints only get two possessions in the 3rd quarter. In a grind it out type game, Colts win 31-24 with N.O. scoring a late TD to make the final score closer than it should have been.
I can see your line of thinking Brad. I could also see the Saints go up early by 10 points at half time (17 to 7). To me the Colts are a better team and their defense wins this one after they slow the Saints down after half time. Colts win this one In a nail biter 21 to 20.
When the season started, I thought for sure the Detroit Lions would be playing in this game...but since they are not, I'm hoping the Saints pull this one out.
Well I'll be pulling for the Colts. However with the news coming out about Freeney, I'm not so sure that the Saints won't pull it out. I just hope its a good game and fun to watch. No blowout please!!
Even without Freeney the Colts have plenty of defense to stop the Saints. It will be close throughout the first half. Once Manning gets an idea of the Saints game plan, the second half will be all Colts. 35-21 Colts
