Fitz lets say some one shoots a buck but doesnt enter it or post the pics then shoots a bigger buck and enters that one?
Only the first buck shot can be counted. Its an internet contest. Anyone who purposely breaks the rules is a schmuck.
First legal buck only. If we find that they entered the score from a second buck, they will be DQ'd and banned from future contests.
I wouldn't count on it. Last year there was s'posed to be a gift card as part of the prize, but I didn't get one. When I asked about it, I was told they forgot to change that in the thread and they weren't giving one. I had planned to use it toward a new stand. So I bought one from somewhere else
Sorry if I missed this and not trying to be a PITA, but this looked like a loophole... If a button buck is the first shot (rule 7) its exempt from the Ferg clause. Apart from the berating, jeering and subsequent grief for shooting a youngin' are they exempt from being scored/submission? If I missed it, and they are counted as the doe entry, I humbly accept my flogging.
If it meets the definition of "antlerless" then it will be counted as a doe kill. Here in WI that would be considered any buck with antlers under 3" in length and buck fawns.
I've never been in a deer contest before... but this sounds like fun. I'm in an area where *little* bucks live (<200"), but I'm here to help our chosen team post some photos!
Looking forward to this contest. First Buck is usually not my largest but will double my antlerless score of 50. I read where a lot of people never respond to their team threads. I find that to be a great loss at a chance to socialize and share there hunting adventures. I would love to hear all details of their daily hunts. Scoring a kill is just a bonus. Sharing stories here on the forum would be like having one big deer camp after everyone settles in.
Is there going to be a set time period or is it just the season by the state you live in?? WI gets a 15 day jump start on us in IL.
