Pretty good not sure what place I got yet though. I checked 4 cameras today, 2 of them had only one small buck and one of the others had 2 new 3yos on it. Good looking deer they just need another year or two.
. Forgive me for the crappy pic but this guy is very elusive/camera shy. I've seen him twice on the hoof (through binocs) but he has been near impossible to get a clear pic of. If you look directly behind the feeder he is running. He's a main frame 5X5 that I'd love to get the opportunity to fling an arrow at!
It won't load the picture for me. Are they having problems or is it on my end ?? This has been going on for almost a week now when I try to load other's pictures. Tim
I got out and shot this weekend and had a great time. I have converted two rifle hunters into bow hunters this year. So it has been a lot of explaining on the little things of bow hunting. It is nice to have shooting partners though. Season starts in 2 weeks so I am looking forward to that.
I converted my brother in law this spring, and it has motivated me to be a better hunter having him as a partner. I truly think that was one of my biggest obstacles last year.
I have been too, there was a thread up about it on the trail cam forum but it's gone now, hopefully they fix it soon.
Monster Mulies Back from 8 days on the beach with the grand kids, wow forgot how much fun the sand dunes are,had a blast with the grand kids, going out to spot some monster mulies that make there way through a gravel patch to the river bottom.I never get excited but this has got me pumped for some reason. My friend that's taking me says the deer are as big as elk down there and have a hard time holding there heads up because of the size of their racks and there is no access for the public. We'll be watching them from 200 yards and after they pass bye I want to hang a camera. Then on opening day I can sneak in and hopefully arrow one of the big guys. The next four days will be spent moving and hanging three stands and hanging cameras. Then back up north for 10 days of work and then I'm off for the month of September. SHould be a good year. When they drawing the teams for the main contest? Also on this one, how many to a team are allowed? Rocky
Glad you had a good time. Can't wait to see your monsters. The main contest should be sometime today. And as far as how many to a team for this one, that's a question for Ty.
We planed some clover yesterday on a very small 30x5 yards food plot type thing in the trees, I have a hang on stand set there and also a camera. The pivot point is right close to that area so we had a hose coming from it to the plot with 2 sprinklers on and had that running yesterday. An unexpected thunderstorm came through last night and dumped 3" on the farm where I hunt and where the plot is, so that should be coming up later this week!
Monster Mulies Didn't happen as there was no way of accessing the property. Oh well! My buddy was trying to figure out who else he knows down around that area to get me in. Rocky
Dang it. I know that we experienced a similar situation this weekend. Fortunately, I think we will come out the better for it.
