Oh ok. I got a little confused, trying to bathe my kids before the sun goes down so I can shoot a little. Don't think I will get any shooting in tonight. But I have a couple of hours before we leave tomorrow. My wok is doing a family tour, so I'm taking my older two.
No go on access to the ranch. They leased it out this year. So we'll go up tomorrow and see how the hike over would be. It would be a beautiful spot to hunt. The is another ranch that we are going to go talk to for access this weekend. I will also ask one of my coworkers for his contact for another rancher in our area.
We jumped about a total of 8 does (3 at one spot, 2 at another and then 3 the last spot). I'll have the trail we walked on the computer in a little bit. Definitely found where we want to go.
Here is where we walked. The flag is where we started the tracker (We really started at the blue dot at the end), the diamonds were obstacles, circles are encounters, stands are where we would set up to scope, and the camp is where we thought of setting up a camp.
I got out this morning to check cameras/feeders & also put two blinds up. Was planning on hanging stands but it rained the entire time I was out & wasn't much in the mood to hang stands when I was soaked! On the plus side the rain kept the skeeters @ bay & helps wash my scent away. Had about 4000 pics between my 4 cameras. I'll have to get out next weekend to hang stands.
