Wow what a hunt tonight!!! Probably one of the best hunts ever. Saw 20 deer including 2 hitlist bucks! The closest they came was 100 yards but it was an awesome hunt anyway, got a lot of footage and pics of them. I'll be after it again in the morning.

Got pics of a new buck I nicknamed "LT". I look forward to seeing him in the upcoming weeks.

Thanks, I'm writing the story for you guys right now. I have pics of him from last year and he was about 20" smaller. He could be 5 I suppose but I think he's four.

Congrats again on your buck !!!

Well I am off work for a week now. My wife and my wedding anniversary is tomorrow. Sadly for her... she has to work and will be working late so it looks like I will be hunting all day. It will cost me from hunting on Saturday so I can spend a day with her to make up for her having to work but she is well worth it. I worked in a trip to Cabelas Saturday so I could get Britney some good winter pac boots for hunting. Should be a fun day for all of us except my wallet.

Our rifle season starts Friday afternoon but Britney and I are planning on bow hunting it anyways. I found a few good... safe spots to take Britney to if the wind cooperates. I plan on hitting it hard by myself the next 2 days and get a morning hunt in with Britney on Friday morning since she doesn't have school. She also has Monday and Tuesday off and the main agenda is to get her on a good buck before all the rifle hunters either kill them or scare them into hiding all day.

Hopefully one of us connects on a good buck.

Except take more time to aim! You don't wanna go through what I did that 20 hours of hair pulling madness!

Will do. Tomorrow is our gun opener so I'm hoping to have an encounter with LT today. Land owner & his family will be hunting F,S & Sunday then I will give my spot a few days to calm down & be back out there Wednesday.

Took The Day Off
Grand daughter is sick and Grandpa is the only one off that can watch her. The rutt hasn't kicked in yet so I said yes to watching her for the day. Bucks yesterday weren't even following does around me.
