    Last Nights Sit
Was a bust again, deer 3 hunter zip. I hung 3 more Trail Cams to see what's using these trails I've notice over the last 3 years. Property is under new owners and man it's a shambles compared to Don. Talked to the new owner and he said he gave another hunter permission to hunt there. I told him one more hunter is no good as he'll mark up all the terrain and lay his scent down. It's only 20 acres and 2 of my best deer call this home Tank & High Tower, both will go over 200. As I walked out last night I never saw any scrapes yet which I found unusual. Thinking the deer moved back to the back of the property now because of all the work being done there. Owner said no one has stepped into the back yet though. I'll be back out there next week to check the cams and see whats to show. Hoping the work load being done their hasn't affected the deer? Be back out this afternoon as I have to go because I got totally drenched by a monsoon as I walked out last night ,need to get my clothing dried out before they get a musty smell. Good luck guys & Gal.

We went after Trash this afternoon. Britney was set up to get first crack at him. Plan was perfect except the wind died down towards the end and you could hear a pin drop. Trash came into about 20 yards but when Britney clicked her release on to the string... it was loud enough to spook him. He didn't stick around too long but you could tell by his reaction to it, he didn't know what it was and finally went back to where he had come from. Hopefully in a few days he will forget about it and stay on his same pattern.

The old buck is going to drive me crazy. Tough enough hunting him from the ground. Really tough trying to get both of us in there on him. Britney is learning a lot though. Just not so sure which old dog is teaching her the most... me or Trash !!

I'm back guys, had a great trip, didn't kill anything but saw tons of Antelope and quite a few mule deer, including a nice 5x3 this morning in velvet. I probably won't be able to get out and deer hunt until the later part of the week. Hoping to check my 6 trail cams tomorrow or wed.

Not getting anything is a good thing as long as you took away something that will help you in the future! As long as were learning something each and every time were a field, the hunt will become that much better each and every time! I can't get out till tomorrow either. Someone get us on the board!!!!

I learned a LOT on this trip! Mostly because I made a lot of mistakes. It took me 6 years to finally kill some turkeys so maybe one of these years I can get an antelope and some deer.

Here's a couple of deer taken by some co-workers last weekend. I believe that they were close to where I am planning to hunt. Hopefully there is a couple deer of this caliber up there come November!

Mid 70's here also ,Wreckless488 go back a few and my sit is posted . Going out tonight hopefully, supposed to rain though, maybe not, LOL. Tough wind for me to hunt, only one stand suitable out of 38 that'll be good for a south west wind! A high of 68f ,changed my setting for you fellow Americans who don't know the Celcius Temps! Ha!HA! joking, funny thing is America is about the only country not using it! Go figure!

On my way in the bush exploded, literally man ,trees were falling over and bush was cracking everywhere. I got 5 yards from my stand and that happened. I could see a calf and the cow,I slipped my way over and up the stand with out causing panic! Now I had to haul a white bow up 22 ft with out being noticed,ha. I did it,the cow actually came to 15 yards and watched me. I opened a few minutes before a can of that Buck Butter I got from Wisconsin. Dang man I truly believe it worked as the moose calmed down and ate around me for another hour and a 1/2. I opened one up in the stand also to cover my scent. Nothing blew and everything was good as I didn't wear my scent-loc either. Stuff really works. Never drew in any deer but it relaxed what was there! On my way I out pulled a card and all that was on it were does. Good sign, thinking about hanging a stand there Saturday! Saw 2 does on there way out to the field too trying to come through there. Now to spend what time I have left on Moose, till the 28th. If a whitetail walks by me I'll do my best to shoot it. Good luck to all that will be hunting and be safe out there guys.
