    Marshall picked up a Moultrie M-880 yesterday and found a couple of promising spots to place it and the one my father in law is letting us borrow. Hopefully my renovation project comes in under budget and I can afford the phone scope set up for my scope. I am also planning on a solo scouting trip mid to late September, check time in and hopefully see something.

    Got out last night for my first ever spot & stalk hunt with a buddy. I missed a doe @ 52 yards & scared her right to my buddy who whacked her @ 15 yards. Strikeout for me but I had a blast! Back in the tree tonight for "my" kind of hunting!

    Don't feel too bad. Britney and I got out late due to work. The wind was marginal. We got too close when we setup. We watch the buck get up and run off. He wasn't bedding where I thought he would be. There is a reason that old SOB has survived many, many hunting season!!!! He is a toughie to hunt. :mad: :cry:

    We will go after the other big one tonight. Wind is right and we should get in without busting anything. I hope !!!!!

    A couple of big bucks one of my coworkers chased during the early season, unfortunately in another hunting unit. Hopefully there's a couple guys of this caliber in my spot come November.
