Can't speak for him but here we can bow hunt during Youth rifle and rifle seasons. We just have to wear hunter orange.

You nailed it! I shot this buck the 2nd day of rifle season, except with a bow.

Went for a swim today....for my trail cam. Had it on a pond edge and after 3" of rain it became the pond middle. You can see it on my stic-n-pic [IMG]
Also freshened a scrape by one of my stands and put a camera on my plot. [IMG][IMG]

I'm good with Pick 'em and Stick 'em. You guys have some great bucks on camera. I'm jealous.

8 does, I think the bucks are still in their bachelor groups and a little bit higher. We were pretty low.

What part of the state are you from? And when does the season open?

Northeastern. Those were taken at the base of the Ruby Mountains. My season starts Nov 10, but I won't be out until the 12th or 13th at the earliest.

Cool, it looks like there are quite a few trees in that area for mule deer.

Yeah. Some of those areas are nice and thick. I ended up losing the only buck I saw last year in the trees.

I haven't. The Dept of Wildlife said "no shed hunting before tax day" and I'm usually busy around the time opens up with t-ball and my youth group. I do keep my eyes peeled when I'm scouting though.

Nice, so you said this is your 2nd year bowhunting? What bow do you shoot?
