So who's been out? I'm finally getting out this friday, first time since I shot my doe. How has the deer movement been this week? I checked my camera the other day at my new place and got my first racked buck! Didn't get a great pic but he looks to be a good buck!
I was out at patapsco valley on Sat. Nice doe managed to slip by me. Saw a buck fawn and bumped something else after dark. On Monday I found a nice scrape line at prettyboy reservoir. Only been out once since I killed my buck, gonna hunt sat/sun this weekend though. Need to stick another doe to free up my bonus tag before the rut.

I got out and checked my camera today and nothing great on it. Then I went and scouted a couple rut stands to see if any scraps. Nothing yet.
I hunted this evening. Basically I screwed up the scouting report because all summer and winter the area I hunted is a travel route but I overlooked the several oak trees that are dropping a ton of acorns right now. I didn't climb high enough to expect 8 deer to come in at once and start grazing at 15 yards. They got a little spooked and trotted off. No snorting. At last light a few came in but by the time I could have at least one broadside shot I wasn't sure it was a doe and not the spike that came in. All set up, it looks alot different in here after 3 weeks. Had a bad start already, keep running into other hunter's.
Hi Everyone, New to forum and thread.......just got back into hunting the past few years. I hunted with my family throughout my youth now I'm pretty much going at it solo here in Montgomery County. Looking forward to having a good 2015 season and possibly meeting some fellow hunters. If you guys have any Montgomery County tips you want to pass along they would be appreciated. I mostly hit pubic land near Poolesville and Urbana and private property in ****erson.
