Whats everyone seeing as far as rut signs? I saw a young 4 pt saturday trotting like he was on a mission....seen a decent 8 walking around on sunday but didnt really look like he was searching...definately seeing more bucks but not like last year....thinking the next week will be prime

Well I finally saw a racked buck while on stand. Not much of a buck, but nice to see. He was hanging tight to thicket running the edge, looking for does. Doing a run and gun tomorrow morning right on the edge of it. Also had a fawn come in and bed down 25 yards from at 11, then I had to sneak out with out scaring it.
Holt, I saw that big 8 who's sheds I found last year this morning. Right at first light he came under my stand, only problem was I was still setting up and my bow was still on the ground. 2 minutes was all I needed. Oh yeah, he's a freaking giant this year.
No way! Can't wait til you shoot him! Big 8s are definitely my favorite rack on a buck. If you shoot him and need a hand, just give me a call. I bet he never leaves his little sanctuary, and you will get another shot at him!
I hope so. This weekend I will be taking the kids to a different property for youth hunt. I probably won't be back there till shotgun opener with the bow.
Haven't seen anything in my last few sits. Lots of rubs and a few scrapes popping up though. At it again this evening!
Not I. Good luck today. I had one little spike come out last night right at the end of legal shooting time. I think all the rubs and scrapes I'm seeing are definitely happening late at night. Probably due to this warm weather. If Saturday isn't as windy as they are forecasting, I may go out and still-hunt.
I'm in the stand now, just moved from this mornings stand. High oak ridge with little mountain laurel thickets all around. New scrapes all over the place. Hope it breaks loose after the rain stops!

Taking my boys out tomorrow one at a time. With the wind I think we may just still hunt the hedge rows. Really hoping they can both get a shot this weekend.
Grunted in a young 4 point tonight....got stuck in tree for hr after dark had about 6 does around me.....didnt see anything until about hr before dark...be out tomorrow am and maybe evening also

Hey guys, I struck out this week. After sitting for 60 hours the first 5 days, I saw a total of 3 deer. Then Saturday the flood gates opened, I saw 3 bucks and 2 doe and lots of chasing all day. Had a small 8 pt that almost got it, but it was to thick and he was on a mission and wasn't stoping. A lot of club members saw big bucks on Friday night and most of the day Saturday, they are definitely moving!
I got out today rattled in 2 bucks unfortunately both were young....the deer started piling out right before dark....my wifes cousin (youth) shot a real nice 12 pt early today in clarksburg
