Just do it. It's an easy trip, tons of public land. We usually tent camp and hunt from there but this year we are short on time and being lazy, we got a hotel room. Won't be as much fun as camp but at least we will be able to shower every night.
Went out to my private property spot again Wednesday night. I had several good size does pass about 70-80 yards away through thick under brush. Two small deer, assuming they had just lost their spots because they were tiny, went under my tree. 1 of them bedded down for a hour under my stand. I was hoping they would drawl in some bigger does but it never happened. Also had about 10 turkey move in and roost around 6pm under my tree.
No I'm surprised Chris from K's Kuts is taking a week now. He said on Tuesday that he was cutting him up on Thursday. Owell I may be forced to hunt in the rain wednesday because I really need to shoot some Does. Small chance I'll get out tomorrow but work has been really busy. My stepfather shot an 8 tonight at his place.
Looks like we got a good lead on those Indiana boys with Victoryhunters buck! Now I just need to get out there and shoot something. I can hunt this Sunday and that will be the start of my rut hunting for the next month. I am not being picky this year, we have a 6 pt or bigger rule on this property. So as long as it's bigger then that it's going to die.
Ya we're doing real well. I shot a doe last night and was going to hunt today but this rain gets too heavy at times. Leaving the range now I got my new backup release all dialed in. Will probably hunt tomorrow afternoon. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
Anyone noticing any activity picking up here in MD? I was out on 10/30, shot a doe but hit the leg bone. She'll live. Got a video of a 6 point rubbing and working a scrape that I took over with a dripper. Hoping to get a shot at him soon - would be my first antlered buck!

I drew on a doe at last light but could hardly make out her silhouette. Watched 2 small bucks spar for so long in the distance I got worried at one point they were locked up. But they weren't. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
