Got back out on Monday and hung my last stand and put my trail cam back out after Covert sent me a replacement. (Those guys are great!) I'm all set for the season..now I just need to see when I'll be able to get out.

I got borderline 110-120 bucks on cam, but nothing that I would zip an arrow through 100% . It doesn't mean a lot, but still.0

Finished my food plot this weekend. Planted about 1/4 acre of Imperial Whitetail Alfa-Rack Plus. Hoping it starts growing by the time I get back from Colorado in two weeks. Fingers crossed. Two days and a wake up and I'm Rocky Mountain bound. CAN'T WAIT!!!

I'm in the same boat. No shooter bucks on camera yet but plenty of does. I figure my first few days will play out one of these few ways:

    1) Hunt where I have doe activity on camera and hope that a buck(s) start to move out of their home turf a little early (wishful thinking) and will happen to pass by.

    2) Hunt the does and knock one or two down. I have no problem donating a few this year.

    3) Hunt a good watering hole and hope for the best.

    Good luck!

I'm nervous, can't figure out where to go. I wanna go to one of my better spots where I think I could tag a buck, but they are doing construction very close to it and it could ruin my hunt or I could just go kill a doe.....

I would go just to see them in person, you never know. Plus you said you only have 2 weeks, so one of them may be big enough for the short season you having this year.

I'm thinking I will try and be back in a tree around 5 or 5:30. Now that the sun is out I don't think I'm up for a real long sit tonight.

I got a long walk, takes about 20-25 min. So I think I might head out around 3:30-4:00. How about you?
