I'll probably be hunting prettyboy the most this year so whenever a day is decided, I'd be down for that.

I know I shouldn't put too much faith in the extended forecast but it's not looking ideal for opening day :/

Saturday may be a little better and Monday might be good if it's not a steady rain. I've got a new treestand umbrella to try out

Me and a buddy here from fort meade are heading to pocomoke for opening weekend. Anybody ever hunted there before? Also got access to a nice private tract but hunting that is conditional in that I have to teach the farmer's son to clean and process a deer should with of us get one there. Mostly I will be hunting Patuxent research reserve though, it's right across the HWY from my house!

Does Liberty get a ton of pressure? I would like to check it out especially since patuxent doesn't open until the 15th.

Haven't hunted pocomoke but I've seen some big deer through that area on my way to cape Charles. Good luck on pax we built a bridge over 95 in that area last year and there are a TON of deer down that way, but I've never been on the preserve before.

I will be hunting Friday, taking the whole day off. I was suppose to be Colorado this week on a Mule deer hunt, but out of 3 people none of us drew a tag this year. There is always next year, now I have 4 points for Elk and Muley.

Ruger if you are still seeing those bucks out in the morning you should hunt Friday to get the jump on them. I have found high temps don't bother the deer to bad in the early season.

I am still trying to find a way to take off for a whole month! I would love to try that. Even when I take a week off to hunt I find my self working a day or 2 thru out my vacation.

I'm leaning towards working Friday and taking off Monday & Tuesday. Temps will be much cooler then. I do want to get out on opening day but the I think the humidity & temp would be miserable for hauling a stand and then hanging it for an afternoon/evening hunt.

Monday and Tuesday on the other hand look much better. Highs only in the mid 70s and chance of rain off and on mean much cooler over all and I find deer are on their feet more when it's off and on raining.

I was planning on being in a tree Friday afternoon but that is looking less likely with work and meetings now on Friday. Guess it'll be Saturday....sigh

As of now it looks like I will be hunting Friday evening, Saturday and then taking off work Monday to hunt the a.m. Trying to schedule some side work for Monday around noon and then back to the tree for the evening.
