Best part about it is this group come from the same place almost every morning and then enter the woods at almost the same place. If they will just continue to cooperate for a few more weeks.........
Any of you guys live near Charlotte Hall or Mechanicsville area? I'm hunting down there with a few Amish guys in November and would enjoy visiting with any of you guys if possible (after a day of hunting). If you live close... pm me. Thanks. Jerry
If I remember correctly from last year your son lives pretty close to me. If you stop to visit him on your way home again this year let me know!
Anybody do any hunting in Balt county? I hunted a piece in Hunt Valley last year and saw more hunters than deer. The piece across the road had 5-6 monsters. Never could get permission. Just wondering if anyone tried and had success in that area?
Close RRb... it was my grandson. He was working in Laurel at the Proving Grounds, but he's now back in Ohio.
Have any of you guys had any problems with coyotes? I have never seen them around til the last 3 years I have been getting more and more pics of them. I was wondering if they were all over Maryland now?
I have had them on cam the past 2 years in Carroll county and got this guy in Baltimore county this year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shot one behind my house two years ago, and there are quite a few just up the road on my buddy's farm near Rocks. Soon we will have them as bad as Ohio I'm sure.
I shot one 2 years ago in October while bow hunting. I had 2 come in and shot the larger one, it was a big female that was over 40 pounds.
I've seen one in the field in Carroll county and gotten one on camera this year in Baltimore county. They are out there.
Meeting with the guy who runs the club that hunts the land connecting to the new property I got tomorrow at lunch. Hoping to have a good conversation and work out details like tracking across property lines. From what I hear he's a real nice guy so I'm not expecting any problems. I will let y'all know how it goes.
Ruger that's a good idea, nothing worse then tracking a deer in the middle of the night and having it cross the line. Then having to go track down the owner.
I pulled the cards on the cameras and didnt get any new bucks. The one 9 pt I have been getting alot of pics has made a great jump in the last 3 weeks! The 1st two pics is him this week and the last 1 is him 3 weeks ago.All the pics of him the last 2 weeks are in legal shooting light. Might be the buck I am going after on opening day!
The talk with the hunt club guy didn't go as well as I hoped. Spoke with him on the phone this past weekend and he claims that the guy who gave me writen permission doesn't actually own the land. He does and I have county tax maps showing he does. So I just called the natural resources police and am waiting on a call back from an officer. Hoping to meet with an officer this week and show him all the paperwork I have and make sure there are no mistakes once season starts.
Ruger it sounds like the guy at the hunt club knows that the bucks are over there and he doesn't want you to hunt them.
