sorry for not checking in guys! forgot about it to be honest! but I killed a 10 point last night and he scored 102 2/8! hows everyone else from this great state done?
Congrats on the 10! As for my season so far, 5 does down and looking for horns. It'll be this week if I have to sleep in the damn woods!
Congrats on the buck! It's been slow for me, but I did see a toad of a buck last Sunday. But have not seen him since. Last night had a 3 pt chase does all over then in the dark another buck came up and kicked the crap out of him under my stand.
Anybody been out lately? I'm just about done for the year now with the exception of hunting with the kids during firearms and some late season sits in the backyard.
We are in first place boys! Man I need to shoot something, I have not pulled my bow back on a deer since opening day. Keep up the good work guys and good luck to those still chasing .
Anyone hunt today? From all I've heard things have been dead around here. I will be out with the 20 gauge and the kids next weekend, do you guys gun hunt or stick with the bow all the way through?
I went out yesterday and saw 6 doe in the morning and 8 doe and 1 spike today. Not a mature buck in sight. I usually just bow hunt the whole season and take the rifle out 1 or 2 time's, just to change it up.
Sticking with the bow unless my friend decides to get his license and go out for gun. I'm off Wednesday and am hoping the snow starts to fall Tuesday evening like they say it should. I will be out in the snow for the first time in two seasons!
Bring on the SNOW! It will be nice to do alittle hunting in the snow. Last year I shot a doe in the snow with my bow, That was a lot of fun!
Can't wait! Looks like a possibility for a few inches to 6 inches in northern carroll / balto county. Right where i'll be hunting haha. Guess i'll get to test the AWD on the new toyota
Shot this 8 pt on Nov 20th. Not sure why he didn't bleed more. Maybe high angle and short shot but from the looks I just clipped the lung and part of the esophagus. Basically I lost blood after 200 yds. I found him a week later thanks to the help of some buzzards. Bitter sweet.
Congrats on the buck, it sucks when you lose them but nice that you found him and get some closure. He is a great looking deer!
Still a long way to go but if we do it'll stop all the talk about this contest automatically going to Kansas or Illinois.
