Nothing, but I've only been out a handful of times so far.

 

What's yalls plans for the week? I think I'm going to scale back a bit till we get closer to the end of October. Probably hunt Wed, Fri evening then Sat morning and evening.

 

I am doing the same thing, going to wait til end of October before I start doing more sits. I want to get enough to get another doe then wait for the rut.

 

Holt do you hunt the area on the west side of the conveyer bridge at all? I'm talking about the area where our yard was and the big "pond" is.

 

No I think that is on the north side of 95, I am below 95. Between 95 and railroad tracks.

 

Gotcha I thought you guys had the whole placed leased up. I had a spot for you to check out if you did.

 

Why, Did you see a nice buck? We get a few that cross 95 every year.

 

No but when that job first started a few years ago I took a little walk along 95 between the yard and the fence along 95. The sign in there was incredible and I doubt anyone would think to hunt that narrow strip that close to the interstate.

 

I'm gonna try and get out once during the week and Saturday morning. Time to stop messing around and put a doe down.

I'm gonna get out next week - hope to get a doe down and then focus on narrowing down my areas for the pre-rut.

 

Update. Fitz gave the ok on my buck! Points on the board!

 

Only been out twice and does both times. I know they are in the area. I have trail cam pics of some decent 1 1/2 year olds but not going to pull the trigger on them. Next couple weeks will be sika hunting. They are starting to bugle so should be fun.

 

Lows tomorrow night in the 30's, how do you guys think the 30* change will effect deer movement?

 

I am hoping the mature bucks kick it up a little, but I think only the little guys will be running around. Are we suppose to get rain tomorrow? I have not looked at the weather all week or hunted. Was hoping to get out tomorrow, any body else getting out?

 

Back from vacation tomorrow and back in the woods on Monday and Tuesday.

 

I'm back out tonight. Getting colder. And I'm gonna try and get out either Monday or Tuesday.

Yeah weather today was great, lots of deer movement. Unfortuantely I couldn't get out :/

 

I have a three day weekend coming up. Unfortunately wedding on Sunday and then there's that playoff game on Saturday. GO O's!!! Ok now that I have that out of my system. I'll be going after Sikas this whole weekend. We have been seeing some nice stags. Should be a good weekend.

 

One of these years I'm going to get down there and try some Sika hunting. I've always wanted to do it but has never made the time. Good luck out there.

 

Heading out in the morning after the 9 pt I have been getting multiple day time pics. Hoping this so called storm will get them moving a little later in the morning. This should be a great hunt. Any one else heading out?
