I've got a good feeling about this morning. Hunting at my grand parent in-laws place. It hasn't been touched since last season. I'm set up on a logging road crossing a saddle. There are at least a dozen scrapes around my stand. It's a cold morning so they should be up on their feet. Good luck everyone!!!!

Well I'm finally all set up. Gave myself an hour to get all set up and I barely finished before shooting light. This climber is taking me a ton of getting used to. Made quite a bit of noise so not expecting much today :/.

Deer cams do not lie, I will be going out sunday evening to get this does that shows up every night at 5:45. My only question as a new hunter is with the process of night time tracking and field dressing. I hope someone is able to shoot me some helpful information that will make me confident and lead me in the right direction. I fear that one arrow is delivered I will not be able to retrieve the harvest and process it by the books. Any and all help will be appreciated.

Only been in stand for 45 mins and already cold! Lol. Little under dressed for this 24 degrees. Just need to get the first deer sighting to warm me up!

Martin, the climber will get easier. Your time will cut in half.

I wish I was out this morning. 24 degrees here, no wind and a good frost on the ground.
    Good luck to everyone!

A well placed arrow and tracking is almost not necessary you will be able to walk right up to your deer as they rarely make it over 60-70 yards when double lunged.

I know the feeling. First time I set my climber up blind and in he dark I think my echoes had echoes.

Good luck. It's amazing how many you'll see when either you don't have a tag for them or you're committed on something better.
