Well I had a doe and fawn at 20 yards tonight. Didn't draw on her. It was fun though! That was the first deer Ive seen! Also saw about 15 Turkeys. Things are picking up!

Finally got home and warmed up a little. Seen one doe right after 6 pm, she was where I don't have any lanes to shoot and started coming my way but stopped and turned around. If I was to guess I'd say she winded me cause she was pretty much right where it was blowing to when she stopped, didn't really bolt off but looked like she knew something was up. I had to walk by one of my other stands that over looks a cut corn field and it had about 7 or 8 deer out in front of it. Way it goes though, pick one stand and they're at the other ha.

Two does came out at last light. Drew back on second one at thirty yards and too dark to make the hit so I put the bow down and watched her flag off. Been out ten times and have yet to see a buck while hunting. Maybe another week or so.

#2 would be a hard shot, but would look good on a wall!

Decided to try out the public land a little closer to my house today. Beautiful day, more or less doing some scouting/hunting for when I bring my boys out. I know what you guys mean about public land. I'm just doing a sit in the ground covered by trees today. I've watched 3 other hunters walk through the land like they're at the mall. Sound like a Mack truck in the woods. Jeez dude what's the hurry?
