    Drove out to my lease late this morning. Arrived and ran into some of the others that hunt the property with me. After some conversations they told me the location of a good stand to hunt. After awhile of searching for it I finally arrived at the tree. Just as I started climbing the clouds turned dark and the wind really picked up. It only took a few minutes to decide I wasnt staying in the tree. Dont mind hunting from trees just dont like the fear of falling from them. I found a great little ground cover hole with several shooting lanes and tucked in the corner of two corn fields. Location was great till the rain started coming down and I realized my windows are open. So here I sit in the truck now debating what to do. Wind is still blowing good and rain is on and off.

    3:30, just go in my stand. Checked a couple if my cams on the way in, and I finly got some descent bucks on film. Windy and damp out, not raining now, but it rained some earlier, so things will be quite. Good luck tonight!

    Walked over a mile and a half on public land to a spot I've scouted before, come to find the tree I thought I would climb is not climb able. I am sitting in a patch of brush and small trees on the ground instead. But still hopefull.[​IMG]

    Not too terribly far from me then, I live in south east Iowa, keokuk to be exact, hunt up by Burlington Iowa though. How far are you from Quincy.

    Moved a ground blind to a partially picked corn field and brushed it in good. You can barely tell it is there. Now just need some deer to come out for my daughter. I have my son with a buddy over where Zeppelin is.

    Sitting over a picked bean field tonight where I saw the two bucks last night. Already have two does at 230 yards so I'm hoping for my first bow kill!
