    In my blind on edge of the corn. 45* with 12 mph qind. It should calm down about witching hour. May see something them. Pretty slow for now though.

    Put my third slick head down at 530 this evening. Ran ten yards and took a dirt nap. On the way home with her I see 5 does beside the highway with 2 8pointers fighting it out. Im not talking sparring, they were locked up and pushing each other pretty hard. Oh how I love this time of year!

    Been in the stand since 3:30 or so, and have had much time to be I my phone. About 15 mins after getting settled into my stand I had a doe and fawn come through, and they fed around me for close to an hour. Then 20-30 mins after they left a doe with 2 fawns came through, and they were here for an hour or so as well. Lots of movement, now I'm just waiting for the big boys to show up.

    Another two doe came out just before dark. 7 deer all in all. Solid night. Those bucks fought for over 30 minutes.

    In my climber in NJ. Seen a few does with fawns but looking for a buck, though I wood take one more mature doe out of here. Hope everyone's hunts are blessed.

    cali has been open for months. must be nice having private land to hunt on seeing as the government shut down is closing most of the nation forest areas around where i hunt. Booooo fed govrnmnt. restricting public access to public land is one way to get a whole lot of hunters fired up around here.
