You've got that right, I will be out tomorrow afternoon in the rain. It just wouldn't let up at all today my backyard is a friggin pond!

Do you have to get a permit to hunt PB? I've thought several times about trying it out. We saw tons of deer/turkey while we were building the nicodeamus rd. bridge.

Skunked today on deer. Windy as heck. However I did see 5 turkey this evening, first of the year for me, so that was cool.

Second sit of the season. Didn't make it to the stand I wanted, heard something that sounded like a foot stomp so I got into the nearest stand rather than chance a deer to start blowing.

15 minutes until legal shooting light but 25 is more realistic with the canopy still up.

I'm in a bit of a predicament. Had a horsefly buzzing around just before light, then it turned into two and another and another...

The horsefly turned into a nest of yellow jackets. Same tree I sat in last week and it was warmer but they weren't here. Really don't want to climb down, but being allergic don't want them to get hostile.

I switched trees, on e they started landing on me it was time to go! Didn't spook anything and I'm in the stand I wanted to be in anyway. Now ai just need the deer to realize if they don't come eat these acorns the squirrels won't leave any.

Yeah it was nuts. That's honestly the most deer I've seen there in one day ever.

Morning and evening combined I saw:

4 buttonbucks (watched two of em "spar" over a big scrape)
    4 doe fawns
6 unknown (probably does & fawns)
    5 does

Not counting the 10-15 I saw on the way in and out of the property. Finny had the best evening sit though - his tree was swarming with them. I just got wet and got down. Moral of the story is a rain suit is definitely a better choice than a poncho lol

If my gear dries out by tomorrow morning I might go back out as well - just to get soaked again.

Really need the fields to be harvested. They really don't have a need to travel very far. This could be the first time I go two sits in a row without a sighting. I'll probably sit until about 11am today

You ain't kidding that last 40 or so minutes I was shaking like a leaf, but when a deer came in range I would magically be able to stay still ( you guys know what I mean). I should of asked slider to snap a pic of me in that tree! When he came up from the truck there was like 10 deer 70 yds from me just huddled around the deer I arrowed. All in all good hunt smoked that deer 35 yds he ran 60 yds got a little wobbly and took a nap.
