Ok, the rain just stopped and I just got in the stand. Spooked a doe and yearling on the way in but luckily she didn't blow, they just ran off. Then as soon as I stepped on the platform two yotes passed me so I know I didn't make much noise getting in. Hopefully they'll move after this rain.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

Well boys, first sit of the season! Usually, I would have been out at least 5 times by now. But, due to my wife being sick, and work, that wasn't able to happen. I'm here now, ready, and jacked!!! Little breezy, but overcast and cool. Good luck to everyone.

Damn, I did everything right until I went to draw back. Eased my hands out of my pocket, reached for my bow nice and slow, turned on he camera, attached my release, started to raise my bow...... Then I jerk on the draw instead of easing it back. Stupid stupid mistake. She was at 8 yds and the other was about 12-13 yds to my left. Would have been a chip shot. But it did start pouring right after they ran off, so maybe it's a good thing incase something went wrong. I'll be back out Tuesday morning.

Well didn't really see anything until about 6 pm. Then I was pretty much covered in deer until dark. Had about 10-12 all together come in. Only one was a small fork horn, he was actually chasing couple smaller does. Had two bigger mature dies come in. One had a little one, the three of them were right under my stand for about 10 minutes. The one bigger doe gave me q perfect broadside shot at about ten yards. I passed but it ended up be a pretty exciting final hour.

Keeping an eye on the weather. Hopefully this storm passes a little faster then the forecast says and maybe Ill get out for my first sit. I dont hunt in the rain lol. Im nervous enough to hunt after rain with everything wet, Im color blind and have a hard time with blood trails already, wet ground makes it a lot harder. But well see, gonna wait till last minute to decide.
