I hunted Intel 1015 or so

 

I just gave a small does a pass. Walked right into my kill zone. I thought mama wouldn't be far behind but no sign of her

 

Kind of nice having a truck stop 5 mins from where you hunt, brought my laptop and wifi card with me, able to relax, get some grub, and check up on every one. Recharging for a long afternoon sit, plan to be back in stand by 1pm, then sit till dark. Then ill be right back at it in the morning.

 

Just came in for lunch. Slow morning, got busted by a doe i didn't even see until she was running away. Going back out at around 3:00 and sitting until dark.

 

Been a slow morning today
Saw a small forky around 8 and nothing since did check my camera and have had a lot of movement between 1245-4:15 so siting all day being first day to hunt this year
Had lunch in my tree recharged my phone and camera ready for this afternoon

Sitting in a restaurant eating late breakfast. The only people who aren't wearing camouflage is the waitress and the cook. Lol

Doing a little eavesdropping. Doesn't sound like anybody had any luck this morning

 

It was a slow morning here as well...two lone deer came in from behind but access trail unnerved them and they wandered back....loved the view though! Nothing like sitting in His creation for the first time of the season!

 

Back in stand. Little early but oh well. Wind has picked up some but is kind of nice considering it is 80 out. Good wind though, hitting me right in the face. After the cam check I have decided it is open season on does, was gonna give them a pass for now, but not any more. First slick head that gives me a shot, I'm taking it. Good luck to any one heading out this afternoon.

 

Got down a little after 11, it started raining. Probably done for the day.

Just got in the stand, all the standing corn is down and acorns are raining down like crazy.

 

Well already had a more eventful afternoon than this morning. Been back out for a hour, in new stand I've never hunted before. Bumped one coming in, seeing as it kinda warm just sat here for awhile to cool off. Finally decided to finish setting up and was wiping sweat and spraying scent kill on and got blowed at couple times from somewhere. Didn't see what it was only caught glimpse as it went bounding across clover field about 30 yards from draw I'm sittin in.

Not my best performance so far but the night is young. Good luck everybody.

 

Just smoked a doe at 15 yards. Dropped her in her tracks. Kinda freaking out right now ha ha. Happened quick

Nice, I'd be happy with just seeing a deer at this point. Been a long day on stand with no action.
