Been in the blind since 6:40. Guess I was a little anxious since I haven't been out since Thanksgiving. Nothing so far but squirrels and doves. Still a great day. Good luck to all.
Sat last night and didn't see a deer. Dad sat Friday morning and night without a deer either. Food plots kill this time of year as the big 11 I have been after is now confirmed up on his land. My season is most likely over except maybe a hunt Tomorrow morning.

Back in stand this morning for a few hours. Got a west wind which is great for this stand 40deg the rut is just starting to heat up!!
Got both of my boys in the shooting house this afternoon with me ages 6 and 9. These deer don't stand a chance!!! Lol
Back in the stand this morning. Sitting in a hardwood swamp bottom on the back side of two large food plots. Great Alabama morning 35deg however the rut has started of slow but a shooter buck showed up on my camera at about 4:30 this morning hope I can catch him going back to bed.
I officially suck! Had a small doe at 25 yards, broadside and eating....perfectly content. I draw, line up my peep and sight, and can not get the pin on her vitals. I felt like I was going to do a "drive by" on her so I let down. This was a small doe mind you. Target panic sucks!

Seen 5 silhouettes so far early this morning before sunrise. They walked the other way I am about to climb down. Wish I could hunt this evening as they will most deff be on the move! You headed out?
