Brutal conditions with the sun and wind right in my face. Should of worn a face mask. Fresh tracks out in front from today sometime.

Hit a buck in the exact spot, low brisket. Pretty much a muscle hit. The deer bedded a few times and ran a total of about 600 yards (doubled back once) and headed to some thick brush near a stream. I backed out for a few hours and unfortunately for me only found the gut pile. Someone else took it but it did die eventually after running quite a ways.

Hope you can find her. Good luck!

Moved some cams yesterday and went and talked to the land owner he was butchering a deer. I took the carcass and put it infront of my red 40 .... I'm pumped

A bit frustrating today to say the least. Snowed over night, basically just a dusting. Got out after I drove my kids to the bus stop (7:30 ish). Got set up and ready at 8:30, I was very upbeat walking in cause there were lots and lots of Deer track in the snow... But after all that never seen 1 Deer the entire time, saws lots of Geese flying over and even heard on 2 different occasions some Turkey... Got down at 2:00 and just got home. Looking for tomorrow to be a bit better and rewarding

Ya I only lasted til 9. They have started clearing trees at one of my spots I fear it's soon to be an upscale apt area. They total destroyed one of the bedding areas.

    Great job, Finny!

Today is the last day of deer season in NY. ..after the third week of November (opening week of gun season) there was not one pic of daytime movement in any of my cams nor was there any deer seen to shoot and the snow has been stupid deep the last week and a half....

    Horrible season.....

Yeah a hot spot for me up here in Hanover for years (right off Grandview Rd) has recently over the last several years become a new housing development and 4 different stages of building has all but wiped out the woods....

I fear when my Son who is only 8 gets in his 20's that land will not be there unless private, and even that gets sold from time 2 time, as was the case with the land I'm speaking about

Thanks Tony! I hear you on the gun season thing it really makes things tough.

AA, it sucks. I few of my PA buddies killed some good bucks around the watershed. You ever hunt those cwma's odd deep run, saw mill, etc?
