Dang, Danno! Great morning!

 

Just shot 25yds the shot looked a little low. She jumps runs about 10ft and stares as me. Walks away all calm like nothing happend. I get down arrow has blood, where she stopped has about a basketball size about of blood. I'm going to wait than investigate?

I was gonna go out this morning decided to check if I legally could for some reason .... Not a huntable Sunday . Gym then I may go lay some corn out and shoot some stuff with my big scary black gun ✌️

 

Found a pile I blood were she just stood and looked at me than couple spots every 5-7 feet for about 100m. Than after that very spotty every 20-25ft than nothing. The weird thing is she just walked away like nothing happend. Shot looked good just a little low the arrow had streaks of blood and some fat on it. But she walked away no limp no nothing. The shot if anything was low not back not front

 

That's a lot of blood for her to go to far. But nothin yet we just ate about to continue looking

That's some serious blood although it might be a bit dark. Just based off that picture though I'd have to guess that deer is dead, or at least will be soon

 

it was dark as it looks it was kinda early tho. What would dark blood mean? From what im trackin is dark red may be just superfisial?

 

and what would low meat hit mean? thanks guys for your response tho

Unless you just barely caught the bottom of her chest you probably hit some heart/lung. It's almost inevitable... although it could have happened. How low do you think you hit?

 

Just saw that, that's definitely close but also more than worth a really good search, she could be down for sure

 

That's tough man that's really low. Could go either way ... You have all that blood cause it was so low. How long has it been and how far did you go ?

 

i shot her at 0730 this morning, i followed blood for about 150meters. Than nothing she walked the whole time, walked threw thicket and a stream camly. Than she popped up on this little slope to a huge field and thats where i lost the blood.

 

I did the clover leaf, box method, circle method. and even followed some trails and nothing. i look 360deg. 100m in each direction this is ****ty. and to add to it I sit about 25 feet up in a tree. so the angle doenst help me in this situation.

 

If you can't find any more blood go to the nasty stuff and cover it the best you can. I would say if she is walking that is bad

 

Agreed, I aimed a little low to start because of jumping the string, and she never did. and how high i sit i guess i dont really need to do that.

 

Yeah to be honest from a tree stand definitely makes this a tough one, and would explain why she dumped some blood right off the bat. L1O has the right idea though, she's either headed to water, which you said she already did, or she headed to the thickest s**t around
