    Hit an owl on the way to my spot this morning. Bumped a ton of deer walking to my stand we got 3" of snow with a layer of ice on top so nothing I could do there. They are moving again though I can hear them lol.

    Good luck. I will have the rifle back in my hands Friday and Saturday for an anterless hunt but I'll be in farm country.

    Looks about perfect LOO. It is -25 wind chills this morning. If I could hunt I probably would wuss out anyway.

    Ya I'm not complaining I wanna kill a deer bad, but being out here in the snow is awesome! I spooked all these deer out walking on the ice. Climbing down at 10 grabbing some coffee and headed to another property.

    We're hopefully going to get some snow Friday/night. If we get a few inches or it lengthens out to be snowing in he morning I may have to climb back in a tree.

    Snow has stopped and it's a low of 12 tonight ... Deer gotta move. There should be some bedded behind me about 80 yds.

    First sit over late season food source, apple orchard. Plenty of apples left on some of the trees a good shake every couple days keeps them coming back. 25deg, light wind out of the west. Can't ask for more except a deer standing in front of you. Deer have been hammering the apples since snow fell. Some big tracks out here. Can only hope the big boys aren't totally nocturnal. image.jpg
