Activity is picking up, now just need the deer to join in. Got about an hour or so of light left. Wind is perfect. Fingers crossed!
No deer for me today. It rained hard pretty much all day long so I think that had an effect on their movement. Tomorrow will be 40 degrees at first light, if that doesn't get the deer moving I dont know what will.
I walked around through standing corn and burrs for about an hour and 15 min with my climber on my back and never found a place. Walked back to the truck and drive home. Sucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sat ready to go, temp down to 48f with no wind. Waiting on the sun then hopefully a deer. Good luck to all those hunting
Shooting light is welcomed by a barrage of duck hunters. Let the deer commence the morning parade. Good luck to all!
Just had a nice doe come in. She was walking away at 50 yards, I fawn bleated a coupke times and she turned around and came into about 40. About a minute later she turned around and left.
Seen 1 doe about 50yds walking away from me. Went into thick cover and vanished. Going to give it another hr or so and then try spot and stalk before going to my pm tree stand.
You guys ought to be ashamed of yourselves, hunting on a Sunday! I can't wait for Md to do away with this ridiculous law. We get 8 Sunday's in my my county now but they don't start till Oct. 13.
Been slower for the last 45 mins. Saw a couple does and a little buck. There was a fair amount of day time activity in the area yesterday. Saw a bunch of does driving around, had two walk down the driveway mid day, and had one walk by mid afternoon when I was hanging another set. I am kind of torn between heading in here after another 30 mins or sticking it out until mid afternoon when it's time to head back home.
Dang just had 3 deer get spooked by a couple walkers just as they where about to cross the road. One fawn and two bigger bodies but couldn't make out what they where. A similar group of three passed by the other night from the same direction and they where all does. Probably the same group but who knows.
