All the more power to him. :)

The buck I shot was by far the smallest of all of the bucks spotted in the area in the past week or so. With a week to go, I wasn't going to give him a pass:D

A nice day here in Md. It was 37 when I got out of the truck at 5:53 this morning. Nothing so far, have had lots of squirrels having a woods party though. And had a rare showing of a black/white cat across the field. Bout 25mins ago another hunter came down the open field across from where I'm set up and dipped into the woods using his grunt call, sad thing is I was nearly napping lol till I heard the grunt call !!!! Hoping something happens here in the afternoon

Starting to fall asleep, can't get a signal in this stand while phone is charging. Wish I'd have brought my binos down. Would try a spot n stalk since they seem to be on lock down. Still thinking something was behind that line doe, just wasn't coming out in the open.

Seen a lot of small bucks, stand just isn't in right spot. I think I'm going call it around 1, warm up and get ready for hunt tomorrow. Think I'm going try some public land on the last day of the season.

Jake....how about this. Get down now. Get some food and drink to warm back up. Then hit the stand this afternoon around the thickest, nastiest bits of cover on your property. :)

Finally saw a deer I just have not been able to get on the deer this year. I grunted a little fork out the woods to an old grown over road I was hunting. He came out into he opening about 50 yards away started to go the wrong way. Gave him a few more soft grunts he stopped a looked back. He must have decided that he didn't want to mess with what ever was grunting. 45 min I thought he was Long gone I raised my hand up to wipe my nose and turned to look the direction that he went and there he was standing there looking at me. Duh! How can deer that weigh 130 lbs move so quietly thgough the woods when a squirrel weighs 2 lbs sound Lorke a dump truck.

As has been the theme this vacation I switched stands. It has worked for me thus far and this is the stand I waited since last season for, but it just hasn't lived up to my expectations. I started my vacation last Friday with a kill here, I'm going to try to end it the same way.

    'Til dark do us part

Ok in the stand for what is most likely my last evening sit of the 2013 so called rut. Doe was bedded not 10 yds from my tree when I got here, she never moved until I was all the way up the tree. She just stood up jumped the deadfall she was bedded next to and walked away. It was strange I expected blowing and raising hell when I saw her.

    It amazes me aswell.

I hate when the sun hits a leaf just right as its falling and it looks like a tail flicker. Haha

I hate how much noise that one leaf can make on the way down. Don't know how many times my heart skipped a beat only to see a leaf scraping everything including ther leaves on the way down.

Haha. So true. Gotta love it. With the wind picking the way it is here there's tons of them falling right now.
