    14" is a lot of penetration, trying to envision a slightly quarter to. Guessing that would leave about 14" of arrow still in him bouncing around. Anyone know if he was on the ground with the recurve?

    If he got 14" and it was right behind the shoulder, even if 1/4 to, it is a dead deer. Can't see it any other way.

    Any idea how far he was into the track? Even a single lung with that much penetration it would be destroyed.

    I was just thinking that as I was topping off the tank while gas is still a tenth of a cent below $3. Takes exactly 6 gallons of gas round trip to my stand.

    Hopefully this one ends well, he's worked hard for it

    I would wait a little longer than an hour VS.

    If you missed the lungs he's still a dead deer but it could be mostly gut shot. He'll be just as dead in 3hrs.

    If you are getting arterial spray, then he wont be more than 50 yards.
