Congrats on the deer this morning to all. I made a little bet to myself this morning when I was reading your posts last one. I figured when I check the forum when I pulled into class that you where going to have a dead deer. Congrats again rem, slider, and last one.

Pics from WI opener. Shots from 2 of my stands. Only a few does and small bucks seen. No shot opportunities.

This was a heavy doe. She was sneaking through the corn in the first few rows. I hit a little high and in the shoulder blade but the slick trick did it's job. Busted through to about 6 inches deep, clipped one lung and spine. Broke one blade in the process though. She dropped where she stood. Put another shot in, hit liver and lung and she was done seconds after that.

I put a good stalk on some does.....they were coming in perfect....30 yards and closing broadside, winding blowing at me......dad and son come riding down a gravel road and spook them to all heck. Gone.

It actually was pretty funny. Man Brad I ran a semi-circle for over 100 yards to cut off a pack of about 5 doe. I slipped down into a ditch and just waited. Five minutes later I saw the first one coming....wind was absolutely perfect. They were about 30 yards out and closing. They were going to be forced into a 20 yard wide shooting late. Then all of the sudden they stop. Birds start flying away and all heck breaks loose. I thought they winded me or caught mov't but I knew they had not. They then bolted. About 20 seconds later I see a dad and his 5-6 year old son riding their bikes and chatting. The little kid kept yelling, "come here doggies" as the deer ran away.

Hahaha. My day was doomed from the beginning when I found out I bumped my sight before I hunted yesterday and it was off big time. Real bad.

Bad night for me. First I get back to my stand and heres my tow rope laying on the ground in about 20 pieces im like wat the F. squirrels chewed the darn thing up since the other night. Second I crawl up into the stand go to hook my safety harness up and duh stupid me forgot to put it on and left it at the house. Alright I figure im just going to go sit in the ground blind. Third now kids down the road decide its a nice evening to shoot every fricken gun known to man from 4:30 til almost dark. And Forth the skeeters were so bad I left during prime time. Although it wasn't my night I cant complain to much it was still nice to be out. Maybe the morning will bring a bear or a whitetail.

That sounds like a rough night, on the plus side though you were sitting in the woods.

Saw several good does this morning. Nothing offered up a good shot. Pulled trail cams afterward and found that there are some new boys in the area :-)
