Back from Ohio at 2am this morning. Tag is still in my pocket but it was a good trip with some good people. Getting caught up around the house today then hunting hard until back to work Monday.. Wife says bucks have been chasing behind the house since sunday, I'm hoping the best is yet to come.

Hoping that they are still moving towards the end of the week. I am working today - Thursday and will be back in the woods on Friday and Saturday.

The best tree I have ever climbed[IMG]to my west and where they come from[IMG]to the north and the center core where many bed down
[IMG]to the east in front of the best food plot
Many bucks travel the creek bottom rather coming out in the open

If another deer decides to walk by, I'm not liking his or her chances anymore.

Thank you sir for the update. Add 2 more 1.5 year old bucks to the dead count from the neighbors (6 total). Only one doe has been taken. Were not going to have a 2.5 year old around next year. lol. Heading out around 2ish to freeze my *** off. We had 7 degrees this morning.

Back at the car, didn't see anything. Got the coffee, heat pack and soup cooking so I'll be ready for round 3. I hope it's as good as round 1. Temp at 36f with 8mph wind. image.jpg

Switching stands and gears. I'm in freezer mode, it's going to be late season before I know it. I'm filling my tags this year.

Well rushed out for an evening hunt, all settled in, reached in my bag for my can call. Son of a beep, left it sitting on the seat of my truck. Guess i will have to just rely on buck grunts and doe calls with one of my grunt tubes I have that makes a decent doe sound.

On another note, out of all the days I hunt, my wife usually doesn't say anything; was planning on hunting tomorrow because it is supposed to be nice and cold, well she does not have work or class tomorrow, and has decided to ask me
To stay home. I could shoot her i think. But I'm gonna give it to her, considering she is usually not very needy during hunting season, and she lets me go on a camping trip every year during out anniversary.

But anyways, good luck to anyone out hunting tonight. It is really freaking quiet here right now, no wind, no birds, just the sound of leaves falling.
