Came pretty close tonight. Literally 4 minutes after shooting light I was surrounded with deer. Couldn't tell what they were and I couldn't see to save my life so no shot. We have them pinpointed though...its just a matter of them moving earlier.

Haha I wish that was the case. I can't even get a damn mature doe to walk in range. It's all buck fawns, fawns, and small bucks.

I had same problem. Yearlings within 10 yards and a few fork horns. Not quite in the quantity as you tho.

Hope this is a test and not a sign lol. Walked outside to let the dog do his thing and its raining. Hop in the garage and grab my insulated coveralls, I won't be deterred. Get everything in the truck and hit the road. Reaching for my deodorant(distracted driving), look down and back up, yellow light. Hit the gas at the same moment I see a SPD sitting at his, about to turn green, red light. Switch to the brakes but its too late. I'm stopping in the middle of the intersection or running a red light. Back on the gas, red light about 20 feet from the line and through it I go. He pulls out and flies up on me, switches lanes and passed me. Thought for sure with so many 3am bars I was at the least a DUI suspect and being stopped. Hoping he at least seen the nose of my truck dive and with wet pavement had no choice.

Thank you unknown officer of the law

I'm in, made up some time and 30 minutes until legal time. Didn't see any deer in the fields this morning and didn't hear anything get bumped. Spotty showers allowed a quiet entry and a brief shower as I approached my stand muffled any ascending noises.

With this big front set to move through about noon hoping deer are on their feet this morning. Hugh temp will be about mid morning and falling the rest of the day.

Raining again, but my resolve is strong today

    Good luck everyone!

You using a lead slinger or crossbow? I don't know that I could draw or get into position from that position. Good luck!

Will a doe blow at a buck? Had one blow twice about 45 yds behind me. Light swirly wind, heard her take a couple bounds then heard a grunt and some brush busting. Guessing she winded me but not sure.

He's still back there still hearing twits and brush snap. 10 minutes until legal time but cloud cover will push that back a few. Going to try a grunt and can in about 5 minutes, maye he'll be aggressively protective.
