So I just spotted a cow walking across my field headed towards my pond. Problem is, I don't have any cows!!!!! Normally I'd try and figure out who's cow it is, but about five minutes later, had a decent buck chase a couple does about 50 yards from my stand. Guess the cows going to have to wait until tonight.

Settled into the stand waiting for light and deer. One will definitely come and the other might. Still a great day to be alive. Good luck to all who get out today.

8 minutes. Had a decent buck come out from under my stand about 10pm last night. A lot of curious does on the trail from the doe I shot Friday. I'll still take another doe if given the chance, so all options still open. Hoping the loggers next door take the day off or have moved far enough south and west to negate their impact.

Good luck everyone, 5 minutes until legal time here.

Slow & frustrating weekend so far. Sat my best stands and haven't seen a single deer. But they show up regularly on camera? Not sure what is going on.

Back at it this morning, but have the trusty old smoke pole with me today. Our gun season started yesterday.

Two does and two fawns passed out of range and a small 7 pt offered a 15 yard shot. I let him walk. Temp has dropped and wind is gusting some. Makes it fun when the tree dances.
